Sticky Notes - PB4


Sticky Notes in Power Broker are designed much like a real sticky note.  It's basic purpose is to take a note, and stick it somewhere, and when your done with it, throw it away.  They are NOT an abeyanceable item so it does not get recorded historically to the customers profile.  They can however be viewed in a list in each user account, but can be deleted at any time.

Sticky Notes are a great way of tagging a reminder to a customer for yourself or someone else.

Setting up Sticky Notes:

In Tables, User Preferences, you would place a 'Y'  in the 'Display Sticky Notes on Customer / Policy screens (Y/N).
You would then need to Exit the system and log back in for this change to take effect.

 



 If you are an administrator and would like to enforce that everyone in the office gets Sticky Notes regardless of the setting in Tables, User Preference, then ensure you have a 'Y' in the 'Force Sticky Note Messages to Pop-up (Y/N) question




Using Sticky Notes:

From a Customer or Policy screen, click on the Sticky Note icon.






 Since you are sitting on an existing customer, the customer code will automatically fill in.

Type in the body of your message, and click on Save Note.





Once you return back to the customer you just saved a Sticky Note too, the Sticky Note opens in the bottom right of your screen.
Your options are to either click on the top right X box to close it for now so it appears later, or click on the bottom right check mark to finalize the Sticky Note so it closes and stops it from showing up the next time you visit this client.







In this example we have left the Sticky note open by clicking on the top right X.

We have now clicked on the Sticky Note icon again for a second time to create a second Sticky Note and saved it.






When you now return back to the customer, the first Sticky Note opens. 
You would then either close it or mark it as done.
The second Sticky Note would open and you would do either the close or mark as done option depending on what your results were. 
This feature allows for multiple Sticky Notes to be tagged to the Customer or Policy.





Retrieving your list of Sticky Notes:
 

To view existing and/or completed Sticky Notes, click on the 'MyPowerBroker' icon in Power Broker, and then click on Sticky Notes.

The users list will be displayed.  The user options are:

Compose - Compose a new Sticky Note
View - View an existing one
Done - Mark a Sticky Note as Done
Print - Print one existing Sticky Note, either done or not done
List - Prints a list of all of the users Sticky Notes
Delete - Deletes the Sticky Note




Launching a Sticky Note from scratch:

From the main Power Broker desktop, you can now click on Sticky Notes from the middle of your screen and add the customer code and your message and save directly to the customer file.
