Minimum Hardware Requirements for Power Broker 4

Please find included a listing of the minimum hardware requirements to run Power Broker 4.x.  Please take into consideration that different operating systems need their own minimum hardware requirements and should be followed as such.  Should you purchase a Windows XP machine, using our minimum requirements would be too slow for the pc to even function.  If you are considering Power Broker as your broker management tool, or you would like to upgrade the existing hardware in your office, please feel free to contact our technical support department for further details and we would be happy to make some suggestions on what to consider when building your network.
 
Workstations:

Power Broker 4.X for Windows will operate with the following operating systems:


Windows 98 
Windows 98 SE 
Windows ME 
Windows NT 4.0 Workstation
Windows 2000 Professional 
Windows XP Home
Windows XP Professional
Windows Vista
Windows 7

32 or 64 Bit is acceptable

September 2010 Note:
Microsoft Office Integration
Windows 7 64 bit does indeed work with Office 2010 32 bit.
Windows 7 64 bit does NOT work with Office 2010 64 bit.

In order to use Power Broker to the best of its ability, the following hardware requirements must be met:

Power Broker 4.X for Windows will function on networks when installed on the following systems:

Windows NT 4.0 Server
Windows 2000 Server
Windows XP Professional
Windows 2003 Server
Windows 2008 Server
Novell - (please refer to the Technical Bulletins section for known issues with  Novell.)
 

The hardware requirements will vary depending on the selected Network Operating System.
Consult with Operating System documentation for minimum hardware requirements.

Zycomp Systems recommends that users Purchase Microsoft Windows Servers, rather than purchasing Novell server.
