Power Broker ver. 4.0 Update - March 7, 2008

Version 4.0 is now operating in  102  brokerages.  Progress continues to be excellent.  In 3 more months it will be a full 2 years that we have been working on this new version.  We are still quite busy processing upgrades and currently have over 100 more brokerages awaiting their upgrade.  At this time we are ready to add more brokerages to the lineup, so let us know if you are planning to move to Power Broker v4.0 in the next few months.

Power Broker Version 4.0 Progress Update February 6/2008 -

Version 4.0 is now operating in 89 brokerages.  These 89 are primarily new sales made since August of 2007, and those that purchased in 2006 and 2007 that were promised version 4.0 as part of the sale.  There are 24 more brokerages that meet the 2006 and 2007 purchase criteria that still need to be upgraded to version 4.0.

We have allowed the version 4.0 upgrade to be purchased and installed in a few of our larger existing customers in order to enable us to determine how various facets are working in large network environments.  We have been making the required amendments over the past 6 months.  Power Broker 4.0 is based on Microsoft Visual FoxPro 8.0 and as such is a 32 bit application.  It is much more aware of the distributed data processing environment and runs exceptionally faster in the Terminal Services environment and for remote connectivity over the InterNet.  File Server database manipulation is also considerably faster, making the whole product run a lot faster within your office network.  Integration with a host of Microsoft Product is much tighter, comprehensive and easier to use.  Integration support is maintained for all versions of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook.  CSIO Standards are meticulously adhered to and the latest version of the Standards is supported.  All CSIO Forms are present and current.  The Scanning, Image Attachment module has been greatly expanded to included virtually any type of image, voice or video file, and includes a tremendous integration capability with NexiSys.  Policy Control records are gone.  The Home Page functionality has been expanded.  We have diligently preserved much of the look and feel of Power Broker v3, thereby significantly reducing the need for re-training staff.  The list of enhancements is substantial.

We have invested almost 2 years, bringing Power Broker back to current day software and technology standards.  This should protect your investment in Power Broker for another 10 years.  We should be able to start scheduling upgrades commencing March 1st.

Nexisys Integration Update - May 28/2008
Brovada Technologies would like to notify you that the upgrade to the PB4.1 integration will be available Monday, June 2/2008.

Power Broker 4.0 Nexisys Integration Enhanced

Although the Power Broker and Nexisys Integration for 3.32 is a an excellent integration to update your insurance company websites with client and policy data, the new Power Broker version 4.0 introduces an even greater dynamic integration with Brovada Technologies Nexisys SEMCI solution.   Once Nexisys has been installed on the local workstation hard drive and it's location has been identified on the User Preferences screen, the Nexisys integration is automatically enabled.   Nexisys may be launched from the Power Broker Home Page, from any Policy Screen or any Policy Browse Grid.  Complete Policy information is transferred to the Insurance Companies Web Portal and you are placed onto that Web Portal site.  Operations in Power Broker may proceed as normal, independent from Nexisys activities.  Any files, images or screen shots that are saved while working on the Insurance Company Web Portals are transferred back to Power Broker and they are saved into the Power Broker IMAGES folder on your File Server and individual entries are made in the Customer's Abeyance / Documents screen that both annotate and link to the entry.  Any number of entries can be saved back to Power Broker duing a Nexisys session.

Examples of the types of entries that you may save images of include:
Policy Inquiry, Billing Inquiry, Claim Inquiry, Quote, New Business, Renewal, Endorsement, Cancellations, etc.

The entire integration and file transfer is accomplished without user input or intervention.

There is no charge for NexiSys Integration.

NexiSys Integration is available in Power Broker version 4.0 or greater.

Power Broker Version 4 -  Dual Monitors
October 5/2007

In Power Broker Version 4, you can now use dual monitors.  What this means is that you can have Power Broker open on the left window, and gives you the option of having Outlook, Internet Explorer, or any other third party software run on the right hand monitor.  It's an excellent tool for viewing Microsoft Outlook emails, Microsoft Word documents, quoting or Adobe Scanning Integrations open on your second screen.  This feature allows you to multi-task and use all Power Broker Integration features more efficiently and saves you valuable work time to do other more important things.

To enable this type of functionality, you would need to speak with your local tech who will give you some suggestions on purchasing and installing a dual video card, as well as setting up  your second screen and the Windows display tab.
