Power Broker Digital Camera Integration

Digital Camera technology is one of the most efficient resources you may have at your fingertips when dealing with the acquisition of data for your client.

Power Broker 3.0 Build 18 will have the ability to take an image from your digital camera database, and store it to your client portfolio built into the abeyance screen.

The image is there, at your fingertips, for your review!

Procedures


Load your digital camera software and unload your camera.



With most digital camera software, software is supplied that allows you to view your downloaded images as well as upload your camera.

In this example, our Power Broker is on D:\Bro .
We would start off by creating a D:\Image folder.

Set Up

Utilities
Define your Company Information
Software Directories
Ensure that you have a Drive letter and a \image folder directory established.

and

Tables
User Preferences
Ensure that you have browsed to your ADOBE executable file.

When renaming an image file, please ensure that you follow these rules:

1) Keep file names no longer than 8 characters
2) Do not use symbols
3) Remember that when renaming a picture, write down the name prior to saving it in your      \image folder.


In the screen capture below, you will notice that you need to copy the file from your digital camera software OR directly from Windows Explorer if you know where your camera has downloaded the image.




Save your digital camera image to your "server drive"\image folder.




When renaming a file, please ensure that you follow these rules:

3) Remember that when renaming a picture, write down the name prior to saving it in your \image folder.





In this example, we have saved the DSC00004.jpg file to a D:\Image folder and renamed LAMH1.jpg.  

This name reflects a portion of the customer name, and also reflects the fact that this is a habitational picture.  

This is how we coded this picture in this example.
You may use whatever file renaming technique that works for you.
 





Once you have saved your image file to your \image directory, launch Power Broker.
Search for the customer you wish to associate the image too.
Click on "NOTES" at the far left of your screen.




Complete the header page by completing the Producer Code, Abeyance Date etc...

In the "Launch Using" box, place an "X" for Image, then Click on "Browse".

Choose the drive, the image folder and then the image file.

Click "Open".






Click on "Save Notes and Exit".





To VIEW the abeyance that contains your image, simply choose the abeyance in your, and click on "View Item".



Should you ever "Minimize" Power Broker, or open another program over Power Broker, then you may come back to a gray screen.  Simply click on either the  "Next" or "Previous" options to refresh your image.
