On one occasion, a customer
that was on a Windows XP machine being used as the server was getting an
1104 error message. The attrib -r *.* /s from a dos prompt sitting in
the \BRO directory didn't do anything, and neither did removing the check
mark in the 'Read Only' box of the properties of \BRO because once it was
all converted, it flipped back to 'Read Only'.![]() When looking at the permissions, Windows didn't show any allowance of allowing permissions to be set to a specific folder. The simple fix was to go to Windows Explorer, click on Tools, Folder Options, View tab, and then to remove the check mark in 'Use simple file sharing (Recommended)'. ![]() You would then go to Windows Explorer, right click over the directory and then properties. You should now have a permissions option that allows you to give all users 'full permissions' to the \BRO directory. The last step would be to return back to the View menu and to place the check mark back into the 'Use simple file sharing (Recommended). |
